Suzanne Holmes, M.A.

 

Suzanne has a curiosity for life. She earned a B.A. Degree in Radio, Television and Film from California State University, Northridge. Suzanne started in front of the camera, and procured a steady gig at Walt Disney Studios for 13 years. After Disney, Suzanne longed for the ability to be able to give back with passion and interest by connecting to individuals and her community. Suzanne attended Pacifica Graduate Institute attaining her M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology. For the past three years, Suzanne has worked at two non-profit family-counseling centers, Tarzana Treatment Center for substance abuse and a Junior High School servicing a diverse clientele. Suzanne has finished her 3000 hours and is in the exam process.

Suzanne has been a member of the San Fernando Chapter of California Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and State CAMFT since 2009. She currently holds the board position of Vice President of Membership, Co-Chair 2011 & 2012.

She currently works with individuals, couples, teens and families with issues including: Depression, Anxiety, Stress Adjustment problems, Relationship problems. Grief and loss, Couples issues, Substance use, Adolescent issues and Parent-Child Relationships Suzanne also has experience facilitating groups including: parenting skill building, youth creative expression, addiction, co-occurring and recovery. Suzanne’s approach is encouraging the growth & experience of healthy connections with awareness to self, individuals and community to provide integrated congruent emotional, mental and physical well-being. In experiencing genuine encounters the human potential unfolds with new possibilities, greater insight and compassion.
